JOIN NEVER ENDING FALL’S AMERICAN DISCO
School talent shows often end in paralyzing embarrassment and debilitating stage fright. For Never Ending Fall (NEF), however, the fated fourth-grade talent show was the best day of their life — the day they became a band. The first-ever performance from the Maryland native five-piece stood as a testament to their indie-rock, subject-to-many-more-stages destiny.
Maybe you’ve heard of them from their hit TikTok series, “Can it Kirkland?” or maybe you know them from their twangy 2022 single, “Like She Does.” If you’ve never heard of them, you’re just in time to get acquainted. NEF’s sophomore album, American Disco, was released today and it’s bound to be at the top of your playlist if the singles weren’t already. “Potential” and title track “American Disco” dropped prior to the release of the record, and immediately gained fan support, collectively accumulating over four hundred thousand streams.
American Disco displays NEF’s impressive versatility, feeding listeners fuzzy, head-nodding, alt-rock basslines for dinner and crisp, movie-intro, danceable bops for dessert. Sonically, each track of the record takes a new, but welcome turn; leaning indie in some tracks, slightly punky in others, and mellow bedroom-pop-esque for a second, there is truly something for everyone. Eleven tracks cover Americana inspirations, love, love lost and everything in between. American Disco has songs for new friends you want to impress, your funcle and all of the next times you’re on AUX.
“American Disco is more than just a new album for us; it establishes a brand new chapter for our sound and image,” the band shares. “We take pride in our ability to convey all our different inspirations while remaining unique and individual.”
Never Ending Fall’s passion for community and their musical repertoire has drawn a fanbase from all four corners of the globe. They’ve just wrapped up a tour supporting Sawyer Hill, but the next time they’re in town, you’ll definitely want to catch this act.
